I read a fairly short article about how a student in Arbil, Iraq shoots an American teacher, then shoots himself. It didn't have much detail about what exactly happened, but they say that the two were arguing about something, and it resulted to the student taking out a handgun and shooting him. The shooter survived the shot and was later taken to the hospital, but died a couple hours later. The American teachers name was Jeremiah Small. On his flickr, it described that he was from western Washington state and he was a teacher. As of now, they're waiting for identification to be complete and for the family to be notified.
I chose this article to read because lately, there's been a couple different school shootings. I wanted to know more details on what exactly happened because it striked my interest due to everything that's been going on. It's sad that the teacher died and I feel sorry for his family.
Good job! It is sad how there have been so many tragedies in schools around the world. It definitely makes a person think about safety in schools.
